Evaluate \lim\limits_{x\to 8}\left(2x+\sqrt[3]{x}-4\right).

SOLUTION:

Plug in the value x=8.

\lim\limits_{x\to 8}\left(2x+\sqrt[3]{x}-4\right)=\left[2\left(8\right)+\sqrt[3]{8}-4\right]

\lim\limits_{x\to 8}\left(2x+\sqrt[3]{x}-4\right)=\left[16+2-4\right]

\lim\limits_{x\to 8}\left(2x+\sqrt[3]{x}-4\right)=14
